The one who thinks before uttering anything (eg, before answering a question) or the one who thinks During speaking - is it a perception that one could be making it all up since they are being too careful to say the *right* thing or the *best* answer? As opposed to that, what bout one who replies very quick/spontaneously? As a listner do u unconsciously think the fast replier is more trustworthy? My personal opinion is that I think a mind that does not think b4 answering could say the wrong things in the wrong way. What do u think?

Several of my family members and several of my friends who used to be big Brad Paisley fans have pulled their support for the artist after he came out with the song "Welcome to the Future" a song where he indirectly supports the election of President Barack Obama. Most Country music fans are clearly from the southern US which can easily be described as mostly Republican...which to say the least ...are BIG TIME against Barack Obama even running for president...much less winning the presidency. I dont think it's out of line to say (nor stretching the truth)...that the vast majority of the white country music fans who live in the south aren't "having black people over to their house for dinner every Sunday". Think about it... southern country music fans are the sons and daughters of the Confederate Army (the people who thought slavery was OK and they believed it so much that they were willing to give their own lives or their childrens lives to own slaves). I have lived in the south my entire 37 years on this planet and I know southern people very well. They can be great people and would do anything for "their own kind". However, if you have an alternative point of view or your a "Yankee" , "Black" or a "Foreigner" they immediately do NOT like you. Evidence that the Sociological Evolutionary process is moving at a much slower rate in the south than the rest of the country. Brad is obviously aware this fact because in his song "Welcome to the Future" he is very indirect and only eludes to the listner that he's referring to President Obama in the last verse of his song. Make no mistake...Brad knows that if he would have mentioned the words Barack, Obama, President, Yes We can, Change, etc... it would have been too obvious to the racist country music fans (which happens to be the majority of country music fans) and it would have turned them against him and his future success as a country music artist would have, at best... been slashed in HALF. Garth Brooks song "The Dance" (although the song itself never mentioned King's name) the Video for the song weaved pictures of heroes, movies stars, celebrities which included Martin Luther King. Which was a HUGE leap for country music fans to digest. This is presicely the reason Paisley knew he could get away with the Martin Luther King reference in "Welcome to the Future"...because Brook's had already opened that door ...slightly with the video for "The Dance". Remember what happened to the Dixie Chiks? They were undoubtly the reigning Queens of Country Music at the time, but They made one negative comment about a Republican president (who was doing a horrible job by the way)and their core audience totally REJECTED them from that day forward. I listen to country radio ALLOT and they were on the playlist several times a day...now your lucky to hear them once a week..if at all. There are allot of country stations who will NOT play any Dixie Chiks still to this day and they are proud of it. The "Chiks" were touring constantly in the south...not so much now. All because their lead singer had an opinion. Goes to show the type of audience country music has. Remember "Southern country music fans are mostly the decendants of the confederate army". Ever heard the phrase "the south's gonna do it again"? Do what? Force people back into slavery? Carry out lynchings? Re-Segregate our schools and work places? I personally like Barack Obama and I voted for him and I am glad he is our President. Not a big fan of Paisley's (he's a little too much of a narcissist for me and IMO vastly overrated as a musician) but I respect Brad for standing up to the mostly racist white audience that is southern country music fans (be it a vague statement in a country song). I need some help. I'm going to try and provide as much detail as I can so my story is completely laid out for whoever can help me out. I'm 21 years old and have had a pretty good life so far. I have a great group of friends who I've been tight with for years and continue to be into our junior year of college at Northwestern. In high school I was part of the "popular" crowd and never had to worry about spending a Saturday night at home. I was a 4 sport athlete at one of the biggest schools in Illinois and even played varisty as a freshman in soccer and baseball. I have plenty of good female friends and they tell me that I'm smart, athletic, funny, outgoing, have a great personality etc. etc. Sounds pretty good right?...wrong.. I was adopted from South Korea pretty much at birth and was raised in a traditional caucasian family. (just worth mentioning that I'm of a different race). I was born with a cleft lip so my upper lip is slightly misshaped and the left side of my nose looks caved in. Luckily for me, I had the 3rd and final operation to help the cosmetic end a year or so back and the result looks great. Physically, I'm about 6'1" tall, weigh 175 lbs. and keep myself in great shape. However, I have never had a girlfriend, and never even got a date to a high school dance (and yes I actually did "creative" ways to ask -- once I had a picture of a girl and I together from a party, had it blown up and cut it into pieces for her to put together like a puzzle that read "Prom?" on it and guess what, she still turned me down). And it isn't from lack of effort. I dress well, keep myself clean and smelling good, don't have acne, nasty facial hair or any other issue that might turn a girl off just by looking at me. I've been, what most people would -- even did, consider to be "more than just friends" with a few girls but each time it just abruptly ended. I'm not the clingy/controlling guy and have never just flat out said "I love you" or anything stupid like that. We would have small stupid fights like all couples do, I never rushed things and made sure the time was right before opening up a bit and telling her that I really like her and that I like spending time with her. Go figure, everytime I got "I think you're really great, but I've never seen you as more than just a really good friend." I really, really hate this phrase because I don't consider girls that I've "gotten romantic with" as just friends -- at least at the time I didn't. I've done my research and yet I'm still completely stumped. I'm not trying to make myself sound good in this next part, I'm honestly describing how I am with other girls. I don't smother a girl and I definitely don't just completely ignore her. I'm a good listner yet I'll voice my opinion (to a degree) when it seems appropriate. I don't "shower her with gifts" but I like to surprise her with something every now and again. I don't catur to her every need, I don't lie, I wouldn't cheat and I'll defend my girl til the very end. I'm not overly agressive (or passive for that matter), I try to take things in stride and just keep the flow going. All that being said, what I still can't understand is why all girls care about is good looks, and I know it's true. I remember when Facebook came out with the "compare friends" app and I was right at the top in most athletic, smartest, funniest, best dressed, most outgoing, best dinner companion and things like that but was always way at the bottom in "sexiest, best eyes, best looking, cutest" etc.etc. For me it just seems like all the "positive" attributes I listed about myself above disappear because of my cleft lip, and when it gets to the "boyfriend/girlfriend" stage, I can't help but wonder if I always come up short in the end because my face looks a little different (even though now it really doesn't). Can anyone help me out?

I really Dont know how to begin ... But My probelm I get attached to people so so easily but i dont love everyone easily 2 .. I love friends so so much and not all friends impressed me just fewof em ... In fact I met 2 great friends in My life And I goodbyed them And i got so so depressed Coz I really believe that when i love someone so so truely she will do the same and she will never leave me .... What happened is as follows .. But before i Start :-IS it possible for a friend to change her fate and future for another person? .. I knew the 1st girl In college and I loved her so so much and she impressed me ... we used to Do everything together ... she was stylish I loved the way she talks ( her communication style ) She was knowledgable She Helped when I needed help She was sexy and finally I loved too manything about her ... she was just little bit selfish and moody But i didntcare abt tht coz I loved her so much... anyway i said oh god I would be really greatful if i know this gril for ever since she is just different than others girlz i really met ... i cant deny i Have a lot of friends but this one is totally different ... anyway after 4 months of friendship and spending everydays together ... she invited me to her engagement and i never knew tht this will be the last day to see her again... And it was true from this moment everytime i call her she never answer my calls .... she simply want to ignore me In fact I got broken hearted and i got depressed a lot of time really :(:( But thanx god ... he gifted me with another friend i met her in the holiday ... she was my cousin's friend ... in fact she impressed me even more than this girl she is so sweet sooo soo kind has a sense of humor active cheerful cares about herself cares about people love the life so so smart ... a very good listner ... loved me so so much and treated me perfectly this girl loved me more than my best friend tht i talked abt nw ... even though i saw her for 2 weeks she loved me so so much and we been so happy together .. and i thanked god because i felt the depression that happened to me coz of the 1st girl gone . But in winter this girl has to travel to her city .. she messages me after i left and gave me her phone number and told me u have to phone me and i was so so so happy... The probem is im so so depressed because it is the 2nd shock for me to goodbye a sweet person just like her .. and i cant wait for a whole 8 months not to see her ... also im not sure i will see her again.. because in summer she comes to her villa in a place here and who knows i may not go there again so im not sure rlly .... Also since wt happened with the 1st girl tht left me without anyprior notice i feel so worry to phone her :( I just feel she will not welcome me ... I dont know i really feel im badluck and any perfect friend i met her sooner or later will hate or leave me ... Im depressed ... am i so emotional ... wut shall i do to stop that ... as i said i have a lot of friends Maybe More than 20 friends but this 2 girls i really loved to the pt i wished to live with someone of them :) i know impossible but i loved them ... and i felt said for the 2nd girl coz I left her and im not sure to see her again and im not sure i will phone her 2 coz maybe she do with me the same as the 1st girl...
